Waterbury-Farrell Wire Fattening Mill
In 1999, Greer Steel invested over $600,000 in the Waterbury-Farrell wire flattening mill. The mill produces thicknesses from .025″ to .225″ in widths of .250″ min. to .750″ max. The oscillated coils range from 36″ OD maximum with a 4″ to 12″ max. face. The exit coil weight is a maximum of 2,500 lb.
More importantly, this mill provides you with benefits such as an outstanding surface finish, a healed edge, amazing tolerances and excellent productivity. And (as if all that weren’t enough) oscillate wound means no welds for longer production runs.
More than just an ordinary producer, we deliver solutions. That means you have a reliable resource for superior products, innovative processes and responsive services that answer your needs for higher yields, lower costs, improved uptime and reduced production cost.
We combine state of the art equipment, such as our wire flattening mill, with our technical expertise and the skill of people who know the difference between good steel and world-class steel. The end result is the highest quality cold rolled strip steel to meet your specific needs.
